Mashru silk is a traditional Indian fabric that beautifully blends luxury with comfort. The name Mashru comes from Arabic, meaning “permitted”—a nod to its historical roots.

Historical significance

Mashru originated during the Mughal era. Pure silk was traditionally not worn next to the skin in certain communities, so Mashru was developed to allow silk’s beauty without direct contact—hence “Mashru”.
